Anthoceros sp. - A common hornwort on damp, disturbed soil. Frequently encountered in late winter to early spring (sometimes later if moisture is adequate and temperatures are not too hot). Frequently in open to partly shaded areas with minimal competition from early successional grasses and forbs.
